It’s beginning to look alot like Christmas
What to do after Thanksgiving? For us, we go out and buy our Christmas tree, bright and early. On Saturday night we went and got the best pickin’s from the lot, all the nice fluffy fresh smelling trees were there. I just love how a fresh Christmas tree makes the room spell good. While we decorated we watched Elf, such a funny movie, I love it! Will Ferrell is hecka funny in that movie, I love when he says “Ooh what’s a candygram?”. It’s a definite instant classic.
Check out my little decorations
And here’s my yearly fireplace display
Now the challenge, getting presents under the tree, that’s a whole different mission, especially because I have teeny kids which means the gifts they want come with a pretty hefty price tag. Plus I have my handknits to make, and I’m behind schedule, way behind schedule.
I also got my last and 3rd package from my Falling For Ewe Swap spoiler, who kept herself secret these last 3 months. She is just totally awesome and is Tina from PhoenixFiberworks, a great blog that I’ve now added to my Bloglines account. I got such a great package, you wanna see…
My goodies are a full braid of Merino “Chocolate Cherries” roving from Zarzuelasfibers.etsy.com and some pretty luscious purple fiber from MissMalarkey on Ravelry, a box of scented oils in Warm Sugar Cookies, Baked Applie Pie, and Gingerbread. A “Start Spinning” book, a “Knitting New Scarves” book, and a “Crochet Today” magazine, plus a package of pencils and stamps and a cute notecard.
I’m so happy to have had this swap pal, I have no knitting pics, actually didn’t do to good with the knitting had less time than I thought to knit, but I’m back at it tonight, I’ll share later

Falling For Ewe Swap Package 2
I received my 2nd package from my wonderful “Falling For Ewe Swap” secret spoiler.
My spoiler has remained secret, and has been stalking me all this time.
I love her packages, the first was package was full of fibery goodness! And this one is another winner… somehow my spoiler knew I love Post It’s, and Journals! It’s a knitting journal!
One of my other favorite things is to collect stationary, office supplies, wax for envelopes, quills, all that. I love the form of communication from the pre-technology age.
I also got 3 balls such soft and pretty yarn, and a cute Knit Picks WIP bag.
A great Friday package!
Have a Good Weekend Everyone!

Falling For Ewe Swap Question of the Week 6
Question is:
“What seasonal knitting projects are you looking forward to”
There are alot of projects I’d like to make, I really want to make a very pretty table runner to display on Thanksgiving.
I’m thinking of the “Celebration Table Runner” from Yarnplay at home, it really would be a nice accent to have. If only I had more time.
I also want to make some Christmas stockings, look at these, aren’t they pretty.
Or maybe some Christmas Ornments, definitely a Angel would be nice to make.
There is much more to knit, let’s not get started on the “Gift Knits”, that’s a completely different list. And let’s not forget my number 1 project that I’m scrummaging for yarn on, the Central Park Hoodie!
Maybe I can just take a few months off work??? Hmm… I WISH!
I think I’ll just have to find some way to at least squeeze some stuff in.
Hey, tomorrow’s Friday! Finally!

Dulce Viernes
Title translation “Candy Friday”
I have some fibery goodies to share, just in time for Friday!
First, I received my “Falling For Ewe” Swap Pal package yesterday. It is so nice to come home to those pretty “Priority Mail’ boxes, I never thought I would love these boxes so much! I get all happy when I see them now, cause I know there’s treats in it just waiting for me. Sure enough, this package was special, it is my 1st of 3 packages that I’ll receive over the next few months from my Swap Pal. The Falling For Ewe swap spans from September though December with 1 swap package per month going out. How cool is that!?!
I got a bunch of just pretty fibery goodies and an awesome bible-like Crochet book, plus some hmmmm.. chocolate, which I can’t believe made it to the photo shoot.
Aren’t those colors gorgeous?
And here’s the bible, so helpful, I sat in bed last night just sifting through the pages to see what secrets I could learn.
I’d like to say to my “spoiler” thank you for the wonderful package! You did some good stalking! Feel better.
And now the latest installment from the Sundara Seasons Yarn club. I joined this club because it was the only sure way for me to get my hands on Sundara’s highly coveted yarn. I’ve practically given up stalking her site cause it’s just too hard to score her yarn. I look forward to these shipments, and this latest one is another winner!
Here is “Beach Glass” (I just love that name!), isn’t just greeny gorgeous!?!
Last, but certainly not least, “Roasted Persimmon Over Green Papaya”, is this color just TO DIE FOR??? I love it!
I’m done drooling now…Happy Friday Everyone!

It’s Fall Charlie Brown
I got my “It’s Fall Charlie Brown” Woolgirl Kit! Yay! It is my most favorite thus far of all the kits I’ve ordered from Woolgirl. I’ll share, but first…
For my Falling For Ewe Swap:
Do you like football? Who is your favorite team?
So first, is “Do I like football?” even a question! I love football, and am a total fanatic with the game! I won’t leave my Direct TV service because they have the NFL ticket, which I have automatically renew yearly. I love the NFL ticket, you see every game on Sundays. Football is one of the many things my hubby and I share and look forward to every season. We always plan for our Football Sundays to make sure we can comfortably watch the games. In fact, since this is my first official Fall season ever knitting, I’m starting to realize that I’m having to choose football over my knitting. I still knit during the games, but boy is it hard, especially when its a good game. Plus I have a knit along I’m supposed to be attending every Sunday, but I can’t because I’m at home watching football. I’ve now learned to knit my easy projects during games, cause I literally tried knitting my SofSIII a couple weeks ago, and boy was that a mistake. I had to TINK like crazy.
Onto my team, which is the San Francisco 49ers. I had high hopes for this season, especially after the first few games, but now am just upset because the team is regressing again, and repeating the same mistakes as they have in the last few years. We have the talent and tools to win the game, but the play calling and coaching just aren’t cutting it. Mike Nolan (head coach) just can’t seem to keep the guys motivated through an entire 4 qtrs. of the game. If we continue at this rate through the end of this season, I know Nolan will be canned. There has been no real improvement with the team, and I bet if he’s canned they put Mike Martz in his place, wouldn’t be surprising. I just don’t get it sometimes. I’m still a 49er Faithful at heart, and will continue to support and cheer on during games.. if only the golden days would return
…and now “It’s Fall Charlie Brown”
As I was saying, this is my total favorite kit to date! Maybe it’s because of the colors?? Or just cause Charlie Brown is just a cutie? The colors are so pretty and totally me in every way. The minute I opened the package I was just in ahh of it, and didn’t want to unpack it cause it looked so pretty in it’s packaged state. I LOVE LOVE this knitting bag! Can I say more??? So, without further adoo, since I’ve strung you on this long, here are the goodies:
