Bad Blogger!
What happened to me? I’m sure everyone is long gone 8( But I’m back, I’ll make sure to win your hearts again! So, let the fun begin!
I joined and am mod’ing another Traveling Scarves group on Ravelry, remember this is the type of group you join, typically with at least 10 other members. You knit small portions of each other’s scarves and send onto the next. Before you know it, your scarf comes back to you having been a small seedlet last time you sent it, now it’s a full fledged scarf. I’ve participated in 2 of these prior and got 2 great scarves out of it, not to mention I enjoyed the social part.
Here’s a couple of scarves I just sent a few weeks ago, they really are pretty.
Aren’t they gorgeous? This group is lengthwise scarves, #78, and for the top picture, I added Fiesta sock yarn, in Rhubarb colorway, it blended in pretty well. The pink one I added Noro silk, don’t know the colorway, it really blended in well.
Ooh! And and FO, a fun and such pretty one!
It’s Mary-Heather’s pattern, Simple Things, knit with Scout’s Swag sock yarn in, ???, gosh!, brainfart! Ok, let me think, it is “Tidal Pool”, I think, it’s just beautiful. This was made for my spoilee in the Twilight Edward vs. Jacob Eclipse swap, Vberry. These are her favorite colors, some of them at least, and I swear, it reminds me of the ocean. It’s knit with the full skein of Scout’s wonderful yarn, I had been loving this yarn for so long, one that I had got in Scout’s Swag Sock Club from I think it was 2009 or 2008, not too sure on the date. I was so happy to send this gem on.
But wait, you think my present is nice, Vberry returned the favor twice over. This was her gift to me, an Ulmus! Just look at these colors! I absolutely fell in love with it and cant’ wait until the weather gets a little more chilly so I can strut this gorgeous thing.
Isn’t it beautiful! So no more “bad blogger”, I’m in full blog mode now, so I’ll catch you Wednesday!
Please drop me a line

2nd Time’s A Charm
I got real interested in a pattern in the latest issue of Vogue Knitting, Lutz & Patmos. What sparked my interest? A customer at the LYS I work at part time, Green Planet Yarn. A customer came in one day looking for yarn to make this gorgeous vest. We choose Katydid, a ribbon cotton, very soft and perfect for the Lutz & Patmos project. After that, I was stuck on it and purchased the yarn that same day.
I casted on 4/25 and seamed up the vest on 5/1. The seaming was a bit tricky with the stitch pattern for Lutz & Patmos. I tried it on, and it fit, but not the way I wanted it. While everything about the size was right, it just didn’t fit me. So I had a decision to make, add crochet border to lengthen it? I did want it longer, but having solid crochet edging longer than the 2 inches called for in the pattern didn’t seem right. I really did like the pattern and am very eager to wear it.
So what did I do? I ripped, all the way to nothing! I re-cast on last night and am making the largest size to get the most drape. I plan on wearing it with skin tight tops and teeny shorts
Now I’m about 4 inches into the bottom half of the body, and moving along fast. The good thing about starting over is that I know the pattern inside out now, and there are modifications I plan to make to it. I plan on having this done very soon so I can share photo shoots for you all!
On a separate note, I’ll share an awesome yarnie goody, my “Mad Hatter” package from the Alice in Wonderland Sock club from Woolgirl.
Look at that! A Mad Hatter stitch marker!
I’m absolutely “MAD!!” over this colorway, it’s just gorgeous!
I’ll leave you now, to bask over my luscious “Mad Hatter” yarn, and will see you mid-week!
Happy Monday
Rocky
Random Shares
I keep trying to maintain an active blogging life, it’s hard, I have so many things going on lately, and work has been busier than usual. I have alot that I haven’t shared, only because of time. I always feel short on time, as I’m sure all of us do. Besides being busy, I had also been fussing with getting a new design for my blog and an easier way to post and maintain my site. I finally got a design I liked, simple, no clutter, and attractive. For my blogging, I downloaded Windows Live Writer, very easy to use and works great with all blogs. It’s so nice and convenient posting now, so you’ll be seeing alot more posts from me too! For now here are some thing’s I’ll be sharing things at random, hence "Random Shares"….

Spring is in the air
I decided that I should start sprucing up my house for Spring! I went to Michael’s today with my husband, and gathered up a bunch of items for an idea I had been tossing around in my head ever since I saw this “monster” fake easter eggs on sale.
For, I picked out these White and Purple tulips, with some, Cherry Blossoms? Not sure if that’s what they are?
Then I got two of these
After some craftyness, with the help of my hubby, voila!
And then they both adorned my mantle, which needed some sprucing up
Some more shots taken by my hubby
What’s that you see laid out, it is my Elm Row in Scout’s Peach Pit, the picture doesn’t show too well, but it definitely looks good there.
I’ll be doing more to add that sparkle to my home, possibly a wreath next. Some real late FO’s to share, here is my “Mini-Noro” sock, made for the Reducio Swap Round 9 spoilee. I knitted an i-cord to make it so that you could hang it on a purse or something to show it off.
And lastly, my “Mini-Gryffindor sock”
Both socks were absolutely fun to make and I got some grunge board and made mini-sockblocker, and I got to buy a tool to make grommets in the Mini-sockblocker too, which was pretty fun to play with. Another mini-item is the “Mini-Knitting Bag”, that I made actual skeins with.
More to come, I’ll need to share my day in San Francisco!

Yowza!
It seems like Stitches West 2010 was just the other day, but some time has already went by and I fell short of sharing in some pics of Marisol and I. We met up again this year, but not for long, it was a short but fun experience.
This is us posing with out loot, of course my haul was not as plentiful as Marisol’s but it was enough to drool over for awhile. Here’s another great pic, poof! We turned into Addi Turbos!
I’ll have to share my loot a bit later, still need to take pics, I have other, small but fun FO’s to share.
First, really isn’t small, in fact its knit with Yowza yarn from Miss Babs, in Violets. It is Balsam, a lovely cowl, with a sort of Mad Hatter appeal to it.
Some other knits, made for my participation in “Hogwarts Knit and Crochet Cup”, as Arabella Slytherin.
Some magical flowers
The cutest scarf mark
With a matching coaster
A fun & cute Fish to Sushi, yes it transforms!
I have plenty more stuff to share, but I think this is more than enough for now
