Eye Candy Friday!

It's that time, yes sharing all the eye candy I have for the week, or rather the eye candy I have yet to share.

So, in quick fashion, he we go...

First up, Zitron Trekking Hand Art Color Sock yarn in "Columbo" for the Zitron Trekking KAL in May 2011.

Is it not superb?  Very colorful, but in a refreshing sort of way.  I'm excited to see how these socks turn out.  It's nice to knit a color out of my comfort zone sometimes.

Next are these adorable, versatile, and portable Lantern Moon clamshell purses.

I had previously used a small tin box, the kind you get at fabric stores that when you first purchase them only has a few small spindles of thread.  That kinda worked, but it was super loud with all my notions banging around in it.  And it wasn't very friendly to some of my special stitch markers.  When I saw these little purses, I was sold!  I love that they fit into each other, oh, and again I picked them up at the LYS (Green Planet Yarn),  that I work at.  Like I said before, such great notions there.

Now to my circular needle storage, this baby I picked up awhile ago, have yet to use (because I just haven't found the time to organize), but I love it!  It is a black Namaste Circular case.

It's got tabs and everything for storing circs, and let me tell you, I have circs, too many.

Last, but certainly not least is "Hither" my recent shipment of Hello Yarn Fiber and quickly becoming my fave colorway.

That's it for sweets, enjoy your weekend, relax, knit, do what you enjoy best.

Zitron Trekking KAL Clue 3 - Heel

Clue 3 released this past Saturday.  I started and finished it on Sunday, quick heels, and it's one of my favorities, the short row heel.

Took me a minute to get pictures, but voila!  Oh and no Mods.

Stay tuned for the next clue, which is the foot and then all that is left is the toe!

Zitron Trekking KAL Clue 2

Clue 2 released last Saturday, 1/8, I started one repeat on 1/9.

Knitting time over the last few days has been minimal, sometimes it seems like no matter how hard I try to get knitting time, something interrupts!

Clue 2 was pretty easy, basic edging eyelet lace columns, similar to Feather andFan, and then the inside columns are the Axis Cables, which are really the same as a cable but you actually cable the stitches that are hanging on the cable needle.

I did mines without a cable needle, the less needles I can knit without the happier I am.  The first row doing the cables was the learning curve, just getting my method down doing the axis cable.

I finished clue 2 earlier today, seemed like I was fighting just to get time to work on the socks.  Here they are all ready and waiting for clue 3!

Zitron Trekking KAL Clue 1

Zitron Trekking KAL Socks, Clue 1 Zitron Trekking KAL Socks, Clue 1

Clue 1 release 01/01/11 --
Started one toe, didn’t like the way the KFB increases were looking on the seam/edge of the sides of the toe. A little too loose looking for me, and I’m atight knitter. Frogged first toe, and started another new toe, this time I did the following:

For KFB increases, I didn’t increase in the 1st st, I increased in the 2nd st at the beginning of an increase row. At the end of the increase row, I increased in the 2nd to the last stitch. This vastly helped in filling any loose holes.

At the beginning of every row, I’ve knit through the back loop. I have a real pet peeve for “in the round” knitting and the holes that you can get, so I usually try to do what I can to eliminate any holes.

All done with 1st clue, will await next clue in another week 8)

Now I'm off to knit something else!
